22 months for AP? Realistic Timeline

I’m seeing a lot of EB2 cases getting approved lately from people who only filed in 2026, while my case feels completely stuck.
My timeline:
EB2 AOS filed end of October 2025
Biometrics done end of November 2025
Last API/FTA0 update around end of December 2025
Since then: absolutely radio silent.
At this point, I honestly don’t even care if the green card itself takes more time. I’d just really like to get my Advance Parole so I can travel again without stressing about abandoning my case.
For people in a similar timeline:
How long did you wait for AP?
Are the USCIS estimates (up to ~22 months) actually realistic?
Has anyone gone from total silence straight to AP approval recently?
Trying to understand if I should mentally prepare for a few more months… or another year+.

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to see if others have gone through something similar and what your timelines looked like.

I filed my EB-2 AOS (I-485 + I-131 + I-765) at the end of October 2025. I did my biometrics in November, and since then… nothing. My status hasn’t changed at all online.

What’s confusing is that when I chatted with USCIS via Emma, I got different answers:

At one point, they told me my case was at the San Bernardino Field Office

Today, another Emma agent said it’s at the Nebraska Service Center

So I’m not sure what to believe, or if my case is just moving around internally.

For those who experienced something similar:

Did your case bounce between a field office and a service center?

Did you still have no updates for months after biometrics?

And most importantly — did it end up getting approved quickly after?

Trying to get a realistic sense of timeline here, since it’s been radio silence for a while.

Thanks in advance 🙏
