Getting ready to finish round 3 chemo. Post operation. (36 years old) But wondering what life is like a year later. Do the hot sweets stop?do you get your strength back as in will I ever be able to bench press 3 plates ever again? Does your libido come back? Do you get all of your inches back? Are you able to drink? How long until you were able to travel. Was anyone able to come out of cancer healthier than they came in?

What do most people eat ? Im struggling to find food i can keep down? Also does coffee help?

I've been struggling to find food that my body can keep down.

But also to have energy and focus during the day. Has anybody been able to find food or drinks that help settle their stomach and give them energy and focus while going through chemo. Costco hot dogs seem to work for now.

Supportive underwear/jock strap recommendations for post-testicular surgery recovery?

Hey everyone, I'm recovering from testicular tumor surgery and dealing with pretty aggressive swelling. My current jock strap isn't cutting it comfort-wise. Can anyone who's been through this recommend a supportive jock strap or compression underwear that worked well for them during recovery? Looking for something that provides good support without digging in or making the swelling worse.

also any recommendations on iceing for the area.

Thanks in advance.

Testicular cancer at 36. Worried about fertility, hair regrowth, and long-term effects

I was diagnosed with testicular cancer at 36 and I’ve already completed one round of chemo. I’m trying to stay positive, but I’ve been thinking a lot about what the long-term effects could be.

One of my biggest concerns is fertility. Has anyone here been able to have kids naturally after treatment? Is there anything I should be doing now to improve my chances?

I’m also wondering about hair and beard regrowth. Did your hair come back the same as before? I had a full, luxurious beard that I’m really hoping makes a comeback.

I was also starting to take working out more seriously before all of this happened. How long did it take you to get back into the gym and feel somewhat normal again? Did treatment have any lasting effects on your strength, energy, or recovery?

Are there any other long-term effects I should be aware of? Anything you wish you had asked your doctor or done differently earlier on?

Also, did anyone find some kind of silver lining after going through this? I’m trying to find something positive to take away from the experience because right now, it honestly just sucks.

I appreciate anyone willing to share their experience.
