The internet as been hard on Cam, but Cam has been harder on himself

Cam is all ball, all day. He wasn't satisfied with his play in preseason game #1. He holds himself to a high standard and probably will be putting in extra hours this week to correct the mistakes. As a fanbase we should acknowledge the poor showing, look ahead to Seattle, and pull an Aaron Rodgers and R-E-L-A-X.

[The Last of Us Part II Remastered] #117 platinum with 100% DLC Trophies. Loved the game, hated the trophy list. 67 hours, 3 playthroughs, 1 rougelike mode.

This was my first experience with TLOU Part 2. I had heard about its divisive reputation, but was fortunate to play it spoiler free. I absolutely loved the game. Gameplay 10/10. Story 10/10. I loved how emotional, dark, brutal, and cinematic the game was.

The trophies are a different story. Base platinum is not too bad, it requires 1.5 playthroughs on any difficulty.

Playthrough #1 was on standard difficulty and I got all collectable.

Playthrough #2 was NG+ on easy difficulty with permadeath enabled. I did the easiest option of restarting at beginning of chapter instead of restarting the entire game on death. Skipped all cutscenes this time

Playthrough #3 was grounded difficulty on the chronological mode. By this point I was pretty burned out and just wanted to be done. I turned on accessibility options to make it easier and skipped all cutscenes. At the end of playthrough #3 I was at 54 hours.

No Return DLC: Rougelike mode where you play 5 rounds of PvE and face a boss on round 6. I actually really enjoyed this mode. I again used accessibility options for the daily grounded run. Took me 13 hours to fully complete this mode

Bottom line, I just hate games with multiple playthroughs unless the experience dramatically changes. Am glad to be done, glad I played the game. Would not recommend the full 100% completion to others unless you are hardcore trophy hunter due to the 3 playthroughs of the story.

One of the best open worlds I’ve ever played. Very ambitious with the amount of systems in the game. Dev team worked extremely hard fixing bugs and making dozens of QoL improvements within the first month of launch. This game does a lot of things great, but it’s far from perfect.

The controls are wacky, the story is forgettable, the puzzle solutions can be obtuse/unintuitive. The graphics when dark were terrible (inside buildings, caves, and nighttime in a city).

The choice to make the platinum tied to the challenges was a fun way to show off the different systems and weapons, until you realize you have to obtain a collectable BEFORE the challenges will appear. 141 collectibles, to be specific, scattered around a giant map.

Fortunately, the platinum doesn’t require 100% completion otherwise you’d be looking at close to 400-500 hours.

Overall I’m glad to have played this game, I’m proud of the platinum. I did very much enjoy this game, but I’m glad to finally move on to something different. Hades 2 is next up for me.
