Finally switched to fedora

My distro hopping went from arch -> cachyos -> fedora
My experience on arch and cachy was very good with little to no hiccups. But the frequent update just gave me anxiety as I don't own second pc to fall back on.
Only things I miss from cachy are speed of pacman and out of the box snapper (I manually had to set up the btrfs snapshots on fedora).

Its pretty outrageous that Fedora doesn't come with the btrfs snapshot out of the box.

Why I switched from Firefox browser to Brave origin on CachyOS

I’m about two months into using CachyOS, and one thing that has always bothered me is the occasional hiccups and stuttering in Firefox.

I don't know whether it's hardware specific, distro specific, or something else entirely, but one thing was clear: Firefox always felt noticeably better on Windows than it does on my CachyOS setup. It's not like I have a bad installation either I installed Arch first and then reinstalled CachyOS about three times while experimenting, and Firefox behaved similarly every time.

Yesterday, I was working on a React app using Live Server in Firefox. The browser felt a bit laggy, so I decided to try a Chromium based browser instead. After searching for the best Chromium browsers, Brave kept appearing at the top of most recommendations.

So I decided to give brave-origin a try (the version with the crypto related features disabled, available for free on Linux), and I was genuinely surprised by how fast it felt.

For reference, Firefox usually takes around 3-4 seconds to start on my system, while Brave consistently launches in under 2 seconds.

YouTube and websites in general feel much smoother in Brave. Firefox often felt a bit jittery by comparison. Maybe that's because many sites are optimized for Chromium-based browsers ,I’m not sure.

If you're also experiencing performance issues with Firefox on Linux, it might be worth giving Brave a try.
