This is a smaller proposed extension to KC’s increasing popular and lauded streetcar, which has already had 2 prior extensions linking downtown with UMKC to the South, and and the Berkeley Riverfront District/CPKC Stadium to the north.

18th & Vine is a historic neighborhood in KC that’s known as a breeding ground for a lot of Jazz music and a hub of black business and culture. Several blocks and buildings make up a district that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The neighborhood is also home to several theatres, music clubs , the American Jazz Museum, and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum,- so it would be cool to see more attractions that would be showcased along the extension that could potentially introduce/bring more people to the area.

The route itself would branch off from the main streetcar route spine along Main Street at 18th street, following 18th street for about a mile on a double track alignment with stops at Holmes St, Troost Ave, and Paseo (also an option to do a single track loop between Troost & Paseo) - with potential for expansion further east along 18th street in future studies. Final report expected later this year. Construction possibly 5yrs away.

Side note: as far as I can tell, KC has been doing a good job with the streetcar so far IMO, especially with the thought and design put into the newer expansions.

They’re also currently studying an expansion to North Kansas City, as well as a new East-West route that would go from KU Medical Center just across the border in Kansas City, KS, to the VA Medical Center along Linwood Blvd.

Open to any cuisine and any price point. Even if the restaurant is oaky but there is one standout dish.

What are places that live up to the hype

Recent write-up about PSE&G addressing rumors the company is leaving Newark.

TL:DR - company is leaving its office tower at 80 Park Place when the lease expires in Sept 2030. The company will keep its HQ and Executive operations, District operations, and customer service center in Newark at a site to be determined, though some general office space and hybrid office space may be moved out of the city since some of those roles are decentralized and/or often entail regular field visits anyway. No changes to volunteer and philanthropic efforts centered around Newark by the company.

Less about leaving Newark, and more about no longer having everything under the same roof in a large office lease.

I really wish I could disagree.

Per NJ.com by way of Yahoo. $43M in Tax Credits through the Cultural Arts Facilities Expansion (CAFE) program was awarded by NJEDA. Will be relaunched as the Rialto Center for Creativity operated by Westfield Arts Collective. The credits account for about 80% of total costs.

Plans include a performance and event venue with capacity for up to 450 people, gallery space, classrooms and studios for workshops, rehearsals and community programs, as well as areas for lectures, films and special events.

Preferably not national chains but other than that I’m easy!
