
Every summer my mom hands me a glass of mango lassi after lunch and goes "pet ke liye achha hai." And I just... drink it. No questions asked.
But is it actually doing something or do we just feel good because it's cold, sweet and delicious?
Like yes, dahi has probiotics. Yes, mangoes have digestive enzymes. That part is real.
But the mango lassi we're actually drinking? Loaded with sugar, sometimes made with packaged dahi that has zero live cultures. Not exactly a gut health drink at that point 😅
Homemade with fresh dahi and ripe Alphonso, probably legit. The restaurant version, mostly just a treat.
