Hi everyone,

I’m currently doing an Erasmus semester in Cagliari and I’m really enjoying it so far. I love how active it is — there are always events going on, the ESN is great, and I really like the mix of people. The beach, the nature, and the overall lifestyle have been amazing too.

I recently got accepted for another Erasmus semester in Chieti-Pescara, and I’m trying to get a better idea of what to expect. I’ve heard mixed things, so I wanted to ask people who have actually been there.

My main concerns are:

Is the city (especially Pescara) safe? I’ve heard it might be a bit less safe than Cagliari.

Does it feel active in terms of student life and ESN events?

Is there a good international/Erasmus community?

Do you think it might feel underwhelming after a place like Cagliari?

I’m a bit worried it might feel boring or less “alive,” especially since I’ve had such a good experience here.

If anyone has done Erasmus in Chieti or Pescara, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience — both good and bad!

Thanks :)
