Why is the expression "All men" socially accepted ? (Please read the body text)
If a person says "All immigrants" for exemple, it will be instantly flagged as racism. (Because it is in fact racism)
If a person says "All men", it is generally accepted and not instantly flagged as misandry. (Even though it is in fact misandry)
Both statements are false, because not EVERY men and not EVERY immigrant is commiting crimes or any other element criticized.
So if we say that the "All" is just a generalisation, as if we said "The majority", why would we accept generalizing about one group, but not another ?
"All immigrants" or "All black people" or any other racist statement is often disproved by saying that yes, there is a bigger percentage of this group commiting crimes, but it is the fault to the passive racism in our society, that makes it harder everyday for these people, so in consequence they have a higher crime percentage.
But this is also true for men, as the patriarchy makes the men feel "more powerful" and lots of other things, that in consequence makes men have a higher crime percentage.
So one more time why is it socially accepted to generalize things about a group but not about another one ?
