There are people out there even worse than our guys.

I’m sure it varies by player and by degree. Like I think crews plays the same regardless.

When I read the economic news there is often mention of how consumer spending remains relatively strong despite inflation etc. in my own mind I don’t see this as a good thing since I think we would all be better off with less, especially environmentally. But at the same time if people actually stopped buying so much junk that would lead to a pretty heavy constriction of the economy, which generally impacts people with fewer resources more.

I have an area for aggressive and biggish plants, cup plant, big bluestem, swamp sunflower, sea oats etc. the passion vine is aiming to get over all of it from a dead oak leaf hydrangea that it was growing on. Thinking of hacking it back, but I do like the fruit.

If the WP still existed there would have been a story about this three person coaching staff. No idea how common it is to have three coaches. And it would interesting to know more about them and what they are doing.

Being in the game thread is like watching a game with Phillies fans. I’ve been to enough games to know this isn’t what most Nats fans are like. Is it a Reddit thing? Are doomers pulled towards the thread? The anonymity? It seems obvious everyone is trying, and some aren’t very good, but the level of vitriol and recency bias seems cray cray to me. Just my thought.

Last year people on this sub pretty reliably blamed the manager and coaches for the poor defense. This year, shockingly, that hasn’t happened. And the d is seemingly even worse.
I have no idea why our infield defense is so bad, does anyone?
