$1k Preamp Advice
I’m looking to add a preamp to my setup. Currently running technic 1300g with Vertere Sabre MM cartridge. My amp is a Music Fidelity M6Si (which has a built in preamp that is good) powering Fyne 502sp’s.
I want to get the most out of my vinyl in terms of detail, soundstage and imaging. My budget is around 1k (new or used). I’m looking for something that will bring even more out of my setup then what the built in preamps in my M6Si offer. I’d like it to be able to handle MM and MC cartridges because I would like to be able to swap easily.
In the past I used a Cambridge audio 551p which was fed by a AT LP-120 into KEF LSX speakers. I liked that set up for a beginning system because it sounded good. You could get lost in music and showed the strengths of vinyl vs. digital.
