My 4 month old is CMPA diagnosed. Occult blood we’ve never seen and primary symptom of arching and crying hysterically post feeding for 30 mins, as well as being generally unsettled.
Was on alimentum rtf and loved it but screamed after every bottle and still had 2x occult blood in poop after 5 wks. Now on alfamino and omeprazole and things seem better? 2 weeks and post feed screams are reducing and general daily mood is improved but he’s spitting up WAYYYY more after never spitting up before in his life.
I have been gaslit by my family he’s just fussy and the screaming isn’t enough to be CMPA / “it’s just gas”. So I tested today with ONE bottle alimentum and he chugged 6oz but did scream after pretty bad but then settled quickly. He got little red bumps on his face after which I’ve never seen before but theyre gone today.
But im stll feeling gaslit — is the omeprazole really the helping factor here or is it the formula? Should I wait another week or two and maybe test another diaper?
