Ladies who opted for private: how much were your all-in costs, and was it worth it?

After a stressful start under NHS care and after doing some research online, I am now wondering whether I should be considering private (i.e. a private wing attached to an NHS hospital that can be counted on to be fully ready to handle emergency situations too).

Specifically for those ladies who went private - where did you choose, was it in your opinion worth it vs. NHS (would like to hear from those who might even have used both options), and how much was the all-in cost? (Only hospital costs seem listed online). Do you know if it is any cheaper if you transfer to private late, e.g. for birth-only plus a handful of antenatal appointments with the consultant in the lead-up?

Search for a (pink!) well-made notebook with quality paper

I have been frantically scouring the internet for a notebook I have in mind to write notes in to our first baby - something her father and I could gift her later on when she is older full of entries from when she had her first birthday, etc., etc. Now the notebook I had in mind for this is pretty simple - pink, at least A5 or somewhere between A5 and A4, with a quality feel (e.g. leather bound) so it can withstand the passage of time, and with nice paper inside (dream would be TRP paper but pretty sure that is a pipe dream!)

For the life of me, I can't find anything that fits this bill that also does not break the bank (e.g. the pink Smythson panama notebooks are so expensive..!) So as a final shot I'm posting here - does anyone have anything that springs to mind that they would suggest?!
