Ladies who opted for private: how much were your all-in costs, and was it worth it?
After a stressful start under NHS care and after doing some research online, I am now wondering whether I should be considering private (i.e. a private wing attached to an NHS hospital that can be counted on to be fully ready to handle emergency situations too).
Specifically for those ladies who went private - where did you choose, was it in your opinion worth it vs. NHS (would like to hear from those who might even have used both options), and how much was the all-in cost? (Only hospital costs seem listed online). Do you know if it is any cheaper if you transfer to private late, e.g. for birth-only plus a handful of antenatal appointments with the consultant in the lead-up?
