Thinking about moving my 3 year old forward facing soon since she’s almost outgrowing rear facing by height. I’m trying to understand what actually matters most when choosing a seat like harness height, side impact protection, or if a convertible seat is still the better option used forward facing.

Is there a clear advantage between a combination seat vs a forward facing only harness seat at this stage? I just want to make sure I’m not missing something important before making the switch. Any guidance would really help since I’m still learning how CPST recommendations work. thank you
