S1E9 spoilers - what happened to the Eyes?
>!​!<First time posting here, hoping someone can help me make sense of something.
In S1E9, the Eyes felt completely different than how they were shown earlier. They used to come across as regular enforcers, basically Gilead's cops doing surveillance work. In this episode they read as fully demonic, almost otherworldly. The shift was jarring.
Did I miss a scene that explains it, or is this a deliberate stylistic choice to show how far Gilead has gone? Curious how others read it.>!​!<
