Anfernee Simons - a true 6th Man of the Year candidate

Anfernee Simons is the most obvious 'sleeper' to win 6th Man of the Year. I don't understand why he doesn't have better odds to win the award. Career 15 PPG scorer and sharp shooter who will regularly be playing off the gravity of a combination of the elite starting unit in Philly.

It's not uncommon for players to fall out of the race because they end up starting too many games, but even with the fragile starting 5, I'd imagine nurse will go to Wade, KCP and Bona often is he needs a 5th started, allowing Anfernee to rock out on the bench. Underrated addition of the offseason, he deserves his 6MOTY love.

Shot distribution - which Timberwolf is taking the Naz/Randle shots?

Between Naz and Randle the Wolves lost two of their top 3 options (~27 shots per game). Where are those shots going to come from on the 2026-27 roster?

Of course LaMelo is a willing shooter, he put up 17 FGA last season and has shot 15+ FGA per game since his rookie season. LaMelo will for sure fill in for at least half those shots, other than that it’s a coin flip. I’d be shocked if Ant shot even more next season, and even if he does, it’ll be marginal.

In my mind the shots will be split between Jaden, TSJ and Ayo. Small-ish sample with Ayo last season, he was putting up 11 shots per game. If I’m Finch, I hope he gets that up closer to the 13/14 range. Feels like Jaden is already in a good range for his role. With more minutes for TSJ, he’ll naturally be shooting more.

Shot distribution - who will take the most shots this season?

It's obvious that the new guy, Norman Powell, will shoot the most shots for our 2026-27 Bulls. My question is... who will be 2-4 on the list? Last season, big Vuc led the team followed by Giddey and Matas (see image for full list).

If I'm Tiago, we let Norm do his thing and let it fly, but focus on the scoring development of the new guys after that. Hopefully Wilson can take on the load of the second option, followed by Matas and let Giddey have the fourth most shots on the team.

Who will be the true second option this season?

It's clear that Tyler Herro is going to get his shots up and be the primary scorer on the squad. After Herro, you can make a decent argument for 3-4 other guys being the secondary scorer. Rollins took the most shots per game last season, but I could easily see Jaime, Kuzma or even Turner take the second option role as well. Obviously it could fluctuate night to night, but overall, who will be the second options for the 2026-27 Bucks?

Who is the 1st option?

We saw some extremely promising play from Kon and Brandon last season. Will one of them establish themselves as the true first option? To me, Brandon is built more as a true NBA first option, but Kon has already looked the part with his shooting talent. Maybe it'll be a Tatum/Brown situation
