I'm completely lost. Could you please type me?
need help with figuring out my mbti type. I seriously mistyped myself as almost every mbti type possible. I can type other people but I swear to god typing myself is so hard.
I generally know how I behave but I'm unable to describe myself in words (irl bc I need some time to think) and when I'm reading a description of cognitive functions I genuinely can't tell which ones I use more.
It's an incredibly annoying never ending cycle: I type myself → A week later I start doubting it and think that I gaslighted myself into thinking I'm a certain mbti type → i retype myself
So here I go with describing myself. Just so you know I'm doing this kinda spontaneously, but at the same time I have a general idea of what I want to write here and what behaviors I'm gonna describe if that's helpful.
╰┈➤ I think I'm an ambivert because while I need a lot of alone time I genuinely really like talking to people and spending time with my close ones gives me energy boosts. Entertaining activities/sports also energize me, so overall I can say that I like interacting with the physical world, whether it's talking to people or simply fun activities.
I like spending time in my head and I do it a lot, but it doesn't get me energized.
╰┈➤ When something's interesting to me I find joy in exploring that subject.
I really like reading/watching videos about tornadoes, I love reading about how they form and what is needed to make a supercell produce a violent twister. I like watching storm chasers live on YouTube and I check my weather radar frequently.
I also love true crime and other videos that have a “mysterious” vibe to them, I’m not sure how to describe it. I recommend the channel “Brew” on YouTube. He has the exact type of videos I enjoy watching.
I also love watching deep dives into some topics on yt.
Recently I've even been into medical stuff, like the most ridiculous medical emergencies, or how different illnesses affect your body.
╰┈➤ I'm great at predicting stuff based on my current situation and on what had happened before. I’m a proud “told ya” sayer.
╰┈➤ I like doing stuff just to seem cool and I often act like someone I am not. I just always felt a need to be appreciated by other people and to be accepted by my environment, even if it means I have to alter my personality a bit.
I mean my personality is the same most of the time - but for example when I'm with people who are mostly dry and quiet I accommodate to avoid being told to shut up and side eyes.
Sometimes I forget about tho and when I'm having fun I come back to being fully myself and feel mad about later.
╰┈➤ When in a bad mood I can pretty sentimental. I get attached to my memories and things connected to them like photos, games I used to play with my friends, or to be honest anything that reminds me of pleasant moments. I have no idea why but I actually focus on my past a lot and how it made me the person I am now.
╰┈➤ When I'm in stress for a long period of time, I can get uncharacteristically energetic, silly and I try to do anything to take my mind off of stress factors.
Like when I know something very stressful is gonna happen to me the next day, I'm gonna simply refuse to think about it and I'm gonna get irritated when someone brings it up.
╰┈➤ I solve relationship problems by giving feedback about what I find bothering in someone's behavior. I typically try to do so in a way that won't hurt someone's feelings.
When someone I care about is feeling down, I typically try to give them useful advice so they can deal with their problem, but I'm also aware that some people need more than just advice. I'll say something like “that fucker!” to make them feel better If someone made them angry. I'm also gonna try to cheer them up somehow.
It kinda irritates me when people just don't use my advice and reject it because they simply seem to enjoy being miserable and don't want help \*at all\*.
╰┈➤ When something or someone irritates me I'm generally going to be pretty direct about it, but if I for some reason I decide to keep my mouth shut you're still gonna be able to guess I'm upset because of my face expression alone. I can't hide my emotions for shit, even if I don't talk about them. I'm unable to do the “poker face”. Especially when it comes to anger.
╰┈➤ I'm artistic, I absolutely love drawing, I spend hours on this hobby. I rarely finish my arts tho, 80% of my drawings are just doodles/sketches.
I adore when artists add a lot of details, hidden meanings and symbolism into their art and I do it myself a lot.
╰┈➤ When I'm hanging out with someone, or just generally going outside I might not always be present in my body and I can have slight delays in realizing what's happening around me. I spend a lot of time in my mind and little attention to my environment UNLESS something really fun / important is happening.
example: When hanging out with friends I am prone to zoning out, sometimes I stop listening to what they're saying and they get mad at me lol. I know that can be annoying but that's something I have no control over.
╰┈➤ I plan almost everything, but it’s not on paper and step by step, it’s in my head and a pretty general plan.
Sometimes I might come off as a bit controlling because I want everything to be done in the right way.
Also when I'm about to do some stuff I do a scheme in my head on how to do it the best, most efficient way.
Let's say I have to make dinner, vacuum the house and load the dishwasher.
I'm gonna think about what order of doing these chores will be the most effective and will take as little time as possible.
╰┈➤ Istg I can't keep stuff to myself, whether it's an idea, or something funny that happened to me I immediately feel the urge to share that with my friends. Also when I'm in a dilemma about something I almost always ask other people about their opinion regarding my problem/decision.
╰┈➤ I procrastinate a lot, but when I finally decide to do something I'll generally finish it.
╰┈➤ I'm really impatient and when I really want something I'm gonna try my hardest to get it as soon as possible.
I think that's it, feel free to ask me anything if you need more information to type me.
