I am from India and I might me joining signal and image processing course (M.Tech.) from NIT Rourkela. I want to ask, does this field have good opportunities in India? How should I start? What tools should I learn? I know for sure, VLSI based companies are hiring good number of canditate but my GATE score is not that good to get a VLSI specilization in good college. Should I focus on VLSI related skills or signal processing field is also promising? Is there some inter-disiplinary opportunitie or job where knowledge of both VLSI and signal processing is required?
