Make it make sense - please

Try as I may, I just cannot wrap my head around this thought process.

When's Stew Young has his photo taken with the mayor of Colwood or with Ian Ward or is friends with people in the community Etc - WHICH IS NORMAL - the love emojis and praise and adoration comes flooding in like a tsunami.

But when the current council works collaboratively with other councils through the CRD, or has photos taken with them or attends events that are meant for local councils to attend, or shows their support of other local politicians, it is somehow a massive scandal that proves they are crooked and they start throwing slurs around at people.

Help me understand how a group of people can be so horrible to others and feel so justified and victimized at the same time. My brain hurts. 🤕

Voters list distribution

City council candidates can request a copy of the local voters list (provided by Elections BC) after Sept 1st for their (and their campaign team's) use for the purposes of campaigning.

Did you know it is within your rights to have your information removed/obscured from the voter's list prior to the lists being distributed? If, for any reason, you do not want your name/address/telephone number provided to our local candidates, you can contact elections BC to have it removed. It is quite possibly too late to go that route as the city likely has that information already.

Alternatively, you can have that information obscured at the city level prior to distributing to candidates, so long as the request is received and the adequate form returned prior to Aug 24th. This in no way affects your voting rights/process - it simply removes candidates access to your personal information.
