I have small workbench (in progress) on a cart with side walls. I am mounting a lot of stuff on the walls. I have a small magnifying light and I did not want to waste work surface on it. So I made of the lock ring that mimicked the existing desk base and then wall mount that fit into. The trick is that there is a stop on the lock ring so that it rotates 90 degrees and then stops so that it does not over rotate. The first one, pictured, is backwards and only allowed clockwise rotation I needed counter clockwise. In the last picture you can see the wall mounted solder air filter above it.
