Gap year?
Hi, I’m currently a third year bachelor of science student. I want to pursue postgraduate courses in health. I’m trying out for medicine and dentistry. I’m currently sitting the gamsat for the second time (Sept), my first attempt was terrible.
Right now it looks like I can’t apply for anything cause my gamsat isn’t competitive enough and I don’t want to waste money on applications.
I’m happy to take a gap year to sit the gamsat again, gain experience, and also have a break from uni.
I’m just a little overwhelmed at taking a gap year. I went from high school straight to uni so being out of that bubble seems scary.
I know during my gap year I want to gain exposure to working in a gp/ dental clinic, maybe even a lab (even thought I hate research). I just want to see what’s out there and figure out what interests me.
I’m curious to see what others have done in their gap year and what you would recommend.
