I was adopted from russia through a closed adoption. today is my birthday, i wonder if my birth mother thought of me at all today. i wonder if she’s ashamed of me. i wonder if she thinks about what my life is like or what it would have been like if she had kept me.

i get the point the poster is trying to make but they clearly have no experience with adoption. adoptive parents are the last opinions I would want on the topic. how about the opinions of idk the people who have been adopted? they were the ones who were actually in the system not the parents.
