Magneto in Doomsday
I feel like Magneto is going to be an important character in Doomsday. Here’s a couple notes:
Sir Ian McKellen has not quite been tight lipped about his role in Doomsday in various interviews (which I’m sure has been a nightmare for Marvel PR), and seems to be teasing how Magneto will have some extraordinary power displays in the movie.
They also have not announced a new Magneto for the upcoming X-Men movie which is interesting. They also haven’t announced a Wolverine, to me that says they want to focus on these characters in the upcoming Avengers’ movies.
With the reference to Magneto destroying New Jersey, and in the trailer we see a destroyed city. So maybe Magneto may be using his powers to help Doom form BattleWorld.
He may have been tricked by Doom to help his future before realizing it’s too late.
Sir Ian McKellen will undoubtedly go down as one of the most important actors of all time, and with his career (seemingly) coming to end, I feel Marvel has an opportunity to give this amazing actor final big screen sendoff.
