Recommendations for Good Furniture Stores?

Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can buy a good durable bedframe or even dresser in PDX. The set I bought on wayfair barely 2 years ago has basically fallen apart. I’m looking for something that is not too overpriced but actually good quality that will last

MSW question- How are in person classes? Prof Recs for Advanced Clinical Year

Hi y’all. I’m an MSW student in the online track. Thinking of taking the Advanced Clinical Section in person. But I haven’t been in a classroom since 2016. I am introverted have social anxiety and fear of public speaking which has partly kept me online. I’m not sure what to expect in person. Can anyone provide insight into how in person classes are? What to expect? Does anyone have recommendations for a good professor who might be kind to this?

Anyone live in Goose Hollow Plaza or Tower? Do you like it?

Hi all,

I’m a grad student. I’m seriously considering student housing options for my last year of my program so I can stop working and focus on wrapping up. I’ve looked into Goose Hollow tower since it’s close to campus and centrally located. Anyone living there who can provide some insight? Also anyone with disabilities allowed to use a portable AC?

Got a job offer at my generalist placement but they want me to give up my early select advanced year hospital placement? What should I do?

Hello all. I am completing my generalist placement for my MSW soon and have just been offered a job at this placement. This is an outpatient substance use program in community mental health. They want to hire me as a SUDs counselor 20 hours and then 20 hours would be my clinical internship (paid) doing mental health. As of right now, I’m starting my clinical year in the Fall where I am already placed in a competitive early select hospital placement. I’m feeling really torn right now because the pay difference upon graduation in the hospital versus community mental health is a huge difference. However, I love the work that I am doing at my generalist placement. I’ve grown to really love community mental health and this population. But I’m worried about the job market and the fact that this might close the door on hospital jobs post grad. Having a paid internship would help my family tremendously. Another layer is non profits are unstable and there’s been a lot of layoffs at this placement. They’ve also cut programs. What should I do?
