Saw a Ryanair engine leaking after landing – should I be concerned?
I flew with Ryanair yesterday. The flight itself was completely normal and the landing was smooth.
However, after we parked and everyone started deboarding, I noticed one of the engines leaking what looked like some kind of fluid (I assumed it might be fuel, but I’m not sure). There was a pretty steady leak, and mechanics arrived almost immediately and started working on it while passengers were still getting off the plane. I’ll attach a photo.
Is this something that happens from time to time, or is it unusual? It felt a bit unsettling to see such a noticeable leak and repairs being carried out right after landing. I’m just curious if anyone working in aviation can explain what might have been going on.
