Lakeside Beach

Out of town visitor here - looking to take my family to the beach the next couple days.

Thinking Lakeside since it has all the other stuff (playground, splash pad, etc…).

Figured I’d see if anyone has any tips/tricks/suggestions… what to not forget, other beaches to consider…

How do they know if you’re a resident or not? ($20 parking vs $30 for non-resident)

Best Dispo (and recs) in Port Huron?

Hi all -

Not sure if this is the right sub for this, if not, a heads up is appreciated.

Vacationing to Port Huron in a couple weeks and would love to stock up on some edibles for the stay.

I don’t care much about taste - clean, real, authentic edibles are my focus. I’m an amateur when it comes to this stuff.

A while back I tried some PC Pure, for what it’s worth, and really liked it. Not sure if those are ‘authentic’ or not…

Anyways, recommendations requested for which dispensaries you prefer, and would LOVE recommendations as to which brands - or even just what things to consider when purchasing.

Thanks in advance!

2 questions

  1. has anyone had any experience transferring a phone number from a watch to a phone?
    - for context, my wife and I each have a phone. My oldest is going to go from a watch to a phone, and we’re going to give their watch to our youngest. I’m being told transferring watch number to a phone is near impossible. Ideally, my oldest keeps their number on their phone, and my youngest acquires the watch, but gets a new number.

  2. not sure if this is allowed, but any 4-family-member plans care to share their monthly bill?
    - trying to find the least expensive plan to get on for 3 phones and a watch. If the ‘4 lines for $25/line’ is still ongoing, I’m intrigued by this. I understand it’s 4 phones so we’d still need a watch line on top of it, but we’d be looking at $100 for the phones and $15 for the watch (so 115 total) as opposed to 3 phones (at ~$55/line) plus watch ($15/month) which would be around $180/month.

Oh, and bonus question
3) my oldest needs a phone but I’m not about to get them the newest model (as I am preparing for possible loss/damage). What’s the oldest model that is still supported so that I can consider buying used

Any insight, suggestions, recommendations, etc… welcome.

Best Places To Go?

Calling all Port Huronians… Port Huronites…? Idk

Visiting Port Huron in a couple weeks with my family (myself, my wife, kids 14 & 10) for a few days. Would love any and all recommendations - mainly restaurants. Bonus points for the best bakery/donuts.

If you have any other hidden gems, feel free to spill it. We intend on visiting the beach every day, so any recommendations on that are also appreciated.
