Psychology degree for marketing career?
Hi everyone, I just wanted to come on here and ask if getting a bachelors in psychology with a minor in marketing could land me a job in marketing- specifically brand marketing.
I’m already planning to work on certificates, a portfolio, a social media page, looking into internships and creating a LinkedIn. I’m super passionate about psychology and would LOVE to have a job in marketing as it really fits me, but I’m worried the psychology degree would be useless or make me un-hireable.
In reverse, I was thinking I could do a marketing major with a psychology minor- but that also worries me because I’m afraid it won’t be technical or practical enough to be hirable😅. it feels like there’s no winning!
Does anyone have any advice or know if this is a good idea?
