Amputation

How did you afford amputation? Did you have the money in your savings? Did you have pet insurance? Did you put it on a credit card? I am heartbroken. My dog is only 6 maybe 7? (We rescued her). She has osteosarcoma between amputation and chemo we are looking at about $8,000-10,000 this would drain our savings but she is the best dog ever. I dont know what to do.

osteosarcoma

My Pyrenees was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right front leg. We met with the surgeon who gave us an estimate of $4,000 for amputation. Google estimates chemo to be about an additional $4,000. For anyone who has pursued an amputation how much did it cost you? do you think it was worth it?

Scotland horseback riding

I am going to scotland with a group of friends in the middle of september 2026. we are all experienced horse back riders. (Like actually, not my grandmom had a pony when i was kid kind of a thing). We would love to do a trail ride in isle of skye (I guess its called trekking there?) I am having a hard time finding anything. I found one company but its multiple days. I am looking for just a trail ride for an hour or two. It doesn't have to be some crazy experienced riders only trail but something fun! Has anyone done anything like that?

Does anyone else get period cramps so bad to the point where you get hives on your chest and neck? I read about progesterone dermatitis but I dont think I have that. The hives start when my cramps start and resolve when the pain resolves. The rash also doesn't start before my period. I feel like its more my body reacting to the pain. Its red flat blotches on my skin. Not itchy. I get a similar rash when I feel anxious. Just wandering if anyone experiences the same thing and why
