Second Lieutenant Guide
I attended a commissioning ceremony recently, which reminded me that a whole swarm of new officers are being commissioned at spring graduations around the country!
When I commissioned, the linked Air and Space Force Second Lieutenant Guide was awesome. It helped me digest the flow of miscellaneous tidbits and advice I would get from my cadre, upperclassmen, and classmates.
There’s a variety of information publicly available for new 2d Lt’s, but I couldn’t find this PDF mentioned in this subreddit. Maybe I’m bad at searching. Figured I would share in case your detachment didn’t send it out!
I linked the 2021 version. Even though it’s from 2021, I still find the info in there to be helpful. There’s a 2024 version, but I couldn’t find a publicly available link. Happy to email the 2024 version on request.
