Does landing gear cause tilt downwards?

Probably a bit silly to most actually educated on this but on recent flights it feels like as the landing gear goes out the plane lurches downwards. Is this normal, just something that's like "oh well" before you tilt back up, or is it not really run of the mill?

Is it normal for the plane to tilt nose down a bit a couple minutes before landing?

I'm a nervous flier as I'm sure many people here are and I absolutely hate this. It's happened a couple times only about a couple degrees but it makes my stomach lurch feeling like we're about to go down. Is this a normal thing to occur? Hoping I won't panic as much in future because there's nothing online about it.
