Motivational letter for visa

Has anyone who has done a motivational letter for their au pair visa application got any tips? Anything that’s important to include and what not to include? I have an idea of what I want to write but any advice is appreciated. I’m applying for Belgium.

Video calls before arriving

I’ve matched with a lovely family in Belgium and I’ve had 3 video calls with the children (2 of those were after matching). I’m starting in September and I was just wondering how often we should be doing the calls, I don’t want to seem totally uninterested and never initiate them but I also don’t want to seem overbearing. Are a few enough or should we be doing more regular calls, for example every 2 weeks? Some advice based off your experience would be much appreciated 💖.

Temporary job ideas

I’m going abroad in 3 months but seeking ways of making an income until then, I don’t have any post-matric qualifications and limited work experience but I’m willing to learn. Any ideas what I could try? Thank you in advance!

Discovery medical aid

Just a shot in the dark, wondering if anyone’s had any luck with disputing a Discovery claim. For some context, I’ve had 3 doctors visits not refunded at all even though it was clearly stated on the app that my plan will cover it and that’s the reason I chose those doctors. Same issue with prescription medication, despite having a PMB form. It’s been such a nightmare and cost me a lot extra than expected. I have screenshots of the app clearly stating this, do I stand a chance at arguing with them? I hate confrontation but it’s thousands we’re talking.
