Nervous Driver: Kamloops to Vancouver

I need to drive a 16' Ford e450 empty fiberglass cube van from kamloops to Vancouver. Inside standing room is 6.5'.

I've driven bigger things, but not over mountains. My main concern is riding my brakes too hard, or being pushed around by the wind - which makes me think I should take the cache creek route. But it's one lane, and I'm worried I'll get a back log of frustrated drivers and the Coq has multiple lanes for people to pass.

Travel will be happening on a weekday afternoon/evening if that impacts things.

What would the best route be?

1" rigid vs spray foam

I've purchased a fiberglass cube van, that already has 1" rigid insulation, framing, and osb paneling.

My intentions are to install an ac, fan, and skylight in the roof - as I will be full time in all months with cats. Temperature control - particularly in warm months, is my priority.

If staying cool as opposed to staying warm is the concern - is it still worth it for me to take down the paneling, and do spray foam?

Im assuming the answer is yes, and I should take the time to do it...
