This guy said that I am wrong for saying I like “artist yeat” and not “rapper yeat” because

1. That’s like saying DS is some masterclass introspective and 2Alive is not
2. That means I don’t like 2Alive because it’s “just rage” (I make rage music btw but enough about me)
3. That means I don’t like rap

Here was my response to him and I think this will help you 2Alive fans realize why some of us Yeat fans consider 2093 a masterpiece

I am talking about 2Alive vs 2093 for context

1. DS is not a masterclass introspective. 2093 and Afterlyfe were masterclass introspective. So for people to call his LEAST MEANINGFUL ALBUM greater than his MOST MEANINGFUL ALBUM outragous to me

2. Yes, because it’s “just rage”. I like rage when it has:

A. Good meaning and story behind it
B. A good emotional presence to match the meaning or story
C. Good production quality(vocals, beat, etc)

IN THAT SPECIFIC ORDER OF IMPORTANCE. An example of rage that I like?

1. Sayso Says by Che
2. Winners Circle by Rexv2
3. Miley or Live Ya Life by Xtsy*
4. Pretti by Prettifun
5. Halfblood Deluxe by Slayr

Examples of rage that I dont like?

1. Any 2Slimey song
2. Uhh most Bleood songs
3. Promoting Violence by Che

So yes. I am “picky” when it comes to rage music.

3. I like rap, but not in the way you think. I like rap that has meaning and tells a story. Gives a perspective of life that relates to me while masking it behind a futuristic or ambient production quality. THAT is why I like artist like

Che
Juice Wrld
Rexv2
Prettifun

Because they each have something I relate to.

Yeat: being backstabbed and betrayed and manipulating people(2093 and Lyfestyle)

Che: being backstabbed and cutting people off(Sayso Says and Rest In Bass)

Juice Wrld: being alone and used(every album. But for me it’s either Death Race for Love or Goodbye and Goodriddance)

Prettifun: depression(Pretti and Funhouse)

You see you are a music CASUAL a music ENJOYER. I am a music CONNOISSEUR a music ENTHUSIAST.

So the “flow” or “vibe” is quite literally the LEAST of my worries in a song because it is BRAINLESS and doesn’t require much thought.

Now production DOES matter(I can’t stand 90s rap because of the production) but the meaning matters so much more.

Im making this post because of how mad Sexhaver’s bitch ass and these 2021 DROIDS have made me. I WILL NOT degrade the BEAUTY of 2021 Yeat and will even ADMIT that some songs on 2Alive were gas. What I WILL say is that these 2Alive fans need to realize this

WE DON’T WANT YEAT AS A “RAPPER” WE WANT HIM AS AN ARTIST

I don’t want another young thug, lil durk, etc. I want AN ARTIST. I don’t give one FLYING FUCK about how hard the flows were on 2Alive. I want the music to take me somewhere and make me envision the music. This is why BRAINLESS music like 2Alive is hard for me to listen to and call greatness because it’s ALL RAGE AND NO ART.

2093 UNDOUBTEDLY had the GREATEST aesthetic and each track made you feel as if you were in a different part of the future. Maybe your an evil cyberlord like on Breathe or maybe your bleeding out after a final fight like on 1093. Simply put

I DO NOT WANT RAPPER YEAT. I WANT ARTIST YEAT

Now I will NOT defend ADL because it was just generic mainstream music but DO NOT hate on his 2023-2024 music
