Chocolate Royal Cake (Trianon Cake)
Does anyone know a bakery or individual in the Dallas area, or even anywhere in Texas that sells or can make a Chocolate Royal Cake (aka a Trianon Cake).
Its a french cake that combines a hazelnut and almond dacquoise base, a crunchy praliné layer (often with feuilletine), and a light chocolate mousse. It is typically finished with a shiny chocolate mirror glaze or cocoa powder, offering a mix of soft and crunchy textures.
I have a friend that states this is their favorite cake, although they did not have in the US. I would like to find one for their upcoming birthday if it is possible, but have had no luck finding a bakery that makes.
