L&D speculum exam

Since having my cerclage placed at 20 weeks, I’ve had to go to L&D a couple of times. Each time, they’ve recommended checking my cervix with a speculum and reassured me that it’s safe with a cerclage.
I’ve now had three speculum exams since my cerclage, and every single one has been extremely painful. I know they sometimes need to check for things like bleeding-which ended up being rectal bleeding , leaking fluid, or changes around the cervix, but I’m always scared that the exam could irritate my cervix or the cerclage.
Has anyone else had multiple speculum exams after a cerclage? Did you experience increased pain, cramping, spotting, or any other issues afterward? I feel like whenever I go to L&D with a concern, I don’t really have a choice because they need to make sure everything is okay.

Bedrest

I was already 1 cm dilated with only 1 cm of cervix remaining when my cerclage was placed. I still don’t understand why my MFM encourages me to walk for an hour every day, do exercises, and even bend over to lift things. It just seems so surprising to me.
I had a previous loss of my twins at 18 weeks due to cervical insufficiency, so I want to be as cautious as possible this time. Because of that, I’ve chosen to put myself on bed rest- only walking up to use the restroom and go ti my appointments, even though my doctor hasn’t recommended it.
Has anyone else with a similar situation been given the same advice? I’m just curious because, after everything I’ve been through, I don’t want to take any unnecessary risks.

Feeling low

I feel very low today. I have been on bedrest since my cerclage at 20 weeks with 1cm left. Since then i have distanced myself from all my friends. I don’t get out anymore. Everyday is a struggle. There’s something new everyday and I am mentally exhausted. I had a previous loss at 18 weeks and lost my twin babies which was already traumatic last year and this time I am heartbroken from the beginning never fully enjoyed being pregnant without the fear of losing this baby. I feel very bad for my husband who has to take care of me everyday. I feel very hopeless
