Saying goodbye to my baby
Hey guys, I wanted to share with you my latest roadtrip I did with my mazda 3, since we’re all mazda lovers here
It’s like a little memorial I’m doing for her
Had this car after I crashed my first ever manual car (Mazda 3 sedan named Louise). I bought this car in a hurry. Bought it 2500$ CAD, so the car was in pretty bad shape. (Feb 2025)
The insurance was not under my name at the time, because I didn’t have a lot of money and by putting it under my mom’s name did save me a bit of money.
Coming april 2025 and my mom got kicked out of her ex house, so she had to live with me a short time while searching for a place to live (Context: I’m living in my dad’s house, so she was litteraly living in her ex’s house). At the same time, I met my current girlfriend, and my mom really didn’t like to be in the house as her (long story short of a mom trying to keep her baby only for her).
Bref, following some squabbles, I had to go out of my own house (my dad didn’t want to kick her out for some reasons) and did couch to couch at friends houses and family. I could’ve never done it without my TRUSTWORTHY Mazda. I had personal stuff and my dog with me. And at the same time I was still studying for IT.
Finally found a bedroom at a friend’s house. But there was one thing, my mom still technically has the car under her name.
I ended up telling my mom that if she kept threatening to put my car into storage, she’d either have to buy it from me or leave it fully registered under my name, because I had the paper that I bought the car legally with my own money (thanks to a contract written by the previous owner).
Coming May 2025 and the car was finally under my name, I restored the body and paid a lot to get the car mechanically correct. There was some rust on the hatch at the handle, change the front bumper for one that had the same color.
I discovered a whole community with the search I did concerning my car and found out that Mazda might be the best community I’ll ever find.
So last April (2026), I did one last roadtrip with it. Quebec to British-Columbia. My car was my home for a week and a half and I’m so glad I did it before selling it.
I’m selling it because of the rust. The car can be still saved from falling apart in rust, but where I live, I need something that can be more suitable in the winter.
It was a blast to be part of mazda community, and my heart will be with you guys.

And damn I love you Mazda, I had so much emotions with your car. Now it’s time to rest and go with Toyota (bought a Rav4 v6 to replace my little crotte)
