Brand new, out of box, table already damaged
So my partner and I are moving into our own flat. This is they first time renting long-term with our own furniture and pets and stuff.
Moving is a hassle but we're slowly getting things done. So were already kinda stressed out.
Along comes our mate, who wants to do a DIY project at our flat.
They sit at our brand new table, which either partner nor I have even used ourselves yet. They don't put down anything protective and they're an adult, there's cardboard everywhere I shouldn't have to micromanage them. But lo and behold, they accidentally super glue a piece of plastic to our table.
Rather than grab the acetone that's RIGHT in front of them already on the table, they just yank that fuckin thing right up and rip off some of the laminate......
Brand new table. Already damaged. I'm so frustrated.
I don't get angry AT them, cause it was an accident but the whole situation itself makes me so frustrated and annoyed.
The laminate is difficult to fix because it's makede to look like fake stone. So finding someone to repair it is gonna suck.
Gonna message the place I bought the table from and see if I can just buy a replacement part and fix the table that way.
Plastic protector has been ordered.
