Deciding on repair vs. buying new: what was the life span of your refurbished BBE? [Breville Barista Express]
My Breville Barista Express suddenly stopped working after 6 years of pulling 2 to 3 shots a day. I used only Breville cleaning products and faithfully followed cleaning schedules. Breville service will repair the following for $385 CAD:
• PCB MAIN 120V VER B FROM 1751 PDC1
• Seal Showerhead
• BVALVE SOLENOID KIT 120V JLT
The same machine is on sale right now - I could get a new one for about $800 CAD.
Have you had your machine refurbished, and how long has it lasted? Breville only gives a 6 month warranty. They will send back the unrepaired machine... has anyone had the experience of sell8ng a broken machine for someone else to repair?
