I have a scheduled c section coming up at the civic hospital soon. Wondering what to expect in terms of what they supply, cafeteria hours, and recovery time. We have sufficient insurance to pay for private - though I’ve heard you’re more likely to get semi-private unless you’re early in the day?

Anything you wished you’d packed for your stay? Home is not that close so it’s not easy for my partner to go back and forth once there 🤔

I’m currently taking pregvit which contains 35mg of iron daily. I also eat iron rich foods, but my iron levels seem to keep decreasing. I’m in third trimester and my last ferritin level measurement was 18 ug/L (recommended is minimum 30).

I suspect when I speak to my doctor on Monday she will recommend an additional iron supplement. Does anyone have recommendations for a brand that is easy on the stomach?
