We chose to name our baby boy the first name Gunnar, which is a classical Norse name, and my husband has Nordic heritage so he likes the name. We live in the American South, and my best friend is adamantly opposed to the name, calling it a cruel name to choose for him given the connotation with Guns in the South. Thoughts??
