Honestly even more specifically chemical engineering? I’m always trying to meet more black women in my major and it’s so hard 🥲 at the undergrad level I genuinely think I’m the only one at my university. I even went to NSBE nationals and I met so many black women BMEs but no ChemEs

Outside of that tho I still love meeting black women engineers and hearing about their experiences in industry!

I have an internship at a top pharma company this summer and I’m pretty sure I’ll be partially in the lab and partially in the office during my time there and I’m trying to figure what hair I want to do.

I’m used to getting wildly colorful braids during the school year but I feel like I should tone it down a bit for the internship.

I’m thinking braids cause I don’t like to spend time doing my hair every morning but I’m not sure what color I do NOT want to go back to black.

And I should probably the office I’m working at is actually pretty diverse from the workers to the other interns. One of my bosses is even a black woman. But I don’t know the culture at the office yet so I want to play it safe.
