Hello, so I am currently going to intern at a remote location in Alberta, and one of the requirements is I need a car as the work site is not by my house(For reference, we are provided housing so I do not need to pay for rent). Am I able to take out student loans for a car, or do I need to take out a car loan? My thought process is student loans would be better as there is almost no interest on it and as well it is technically for school(As my internship is part of my program). I am awaiting to hear back from my student services but I do not know how long they are going to take. I hope if anyone has had a similar experience / knowledge if they could provide insight on how they they filled out the form when applying for them as I am unsure.
