Anyone have any sage toddler travel advice for a baby wearing preferring solo mom?

I’m flying with my 21 month old for the first time solo. With my spouse, I baby wear when we fly but I don’t know how to navigate him on my back and a backpack too, plus other logistics.

He’s a 96th percentile baby so front wearing isn’t an option anymore for my back, and he is in a big up/down phase (esp now that he can say both of those words lol). I’ve preferred my happy baby OG on previous flights for packability but also have the traditional padded ergo that does have more support now that he’s bigger. I also have a tush baby and sling. And of course a barely used stroller that I don’t love.

Im considering:

  1. front wearing my backpack with him on my back. This sounds logistically challenging and a bit suffocating.

  2. Tush baby and backpack…maybe stuff happy baby in pack. just in case? I am worried I won’t be able to “contain” him well with tush baby. When he wants down…he takes a full lateral dive lol. Obv not ideal in busy areas and in a rush with a layover but when the tush baby works it does work really well.

  3. Surrender to a stroller and all that comes with it. Elevators and loss of maneuverability. Maybe bring the sling for the “up” times.

I know it’ll be a long day regardless. Trying to keep travel lean but connected. Thoughts?
