I was googling to see what weapons I could use for the Ill Repute duel and gathered that the duel with Jan of Lesztin was unusually difficult. So I figured I might as well use the Bane poison III I've been carrying around. Lo and behold, I got him in one hit with the poison.

If you try this, make sure to talk to Tuchmacher right away before Lesztin dies, or you'll fail the quest.
