I regularly suffer from acid reflux and stomach aches, I am currently on a 6 week streak of near constant pain. Doctor prescribed pantoprazol which helped a little, but the side effects were horrible so I lowered the dosage. For around 3 weeks I've been having chest pains, especially when I swallow, my primary physician said i probably have an inflammation of the esophagus and told me to see a specialist.
Okay, so far so good i thought, but living in Berlin, trying to get an appointment is an absolute nightmare. It's always "we don't have any more appointments this year" and "we only treat emergencies". I've been trying to stay positive but the constant pain is driving me nuts. I'll try to contact more doctors offices in my hometown since i have at least some kind of hope that they can treat me before the ending of the year.
Has anyone else had these symptoms (pain in chest, painful swallowing, feeling like you need to cough constantly) and what did you do about it? My research has told me so far that an inflamed esophagus heals itself within weeks, but I am just feeling so helpless right now.
