Just started playing Crash 2 on my Retroid Pocket G2 (PS1 emulation), and man, what a difference.

Either I’m losing it, or the sequel is just lightyears ahead of the first game. My biggest gripe with the original was the clunky controls. It felt like every tiny input moved Crash way too much. Here, everything feels precise and tight. It’s night and day.

I honestly don’t even remember the music from the first one, but the soundtrack here is an absolute banger. I already feel like writing a separate post just about the tunes. Plus, the whole experience feels much more immersive without constant transitions to the map.

Anyone else feel the same, or am I just late to the party?
