My experience with multiplayer part of this game so far.

My actual gameplay experience:

Searching for lobby...
“No sessions found for preferred region”
“No sessions found for preferred region”
“No sessions found for preferred region”
“Unable to connect to host”
“Connection closed by host”
“No sessions found for preferred region”
“Connection closed by host”
“Unable to connect to host”

Finally.

FOUND GAME
5 Players Connected. From another continent, of course.

Map loads in.
One guy is screaming into a vacuum cleaner mic.
One guy instantly throws flashbangs into spawn.
Two others sprint through my shield ahead like they’re late for Wallmart sale.
Host says “go tactical guys.” Meanwhile, I'm still at the second door with Host and my shield, not sure what is going on here.

3 seconds later:

BANG BANG BANG BANG
Entire team dead.
Civilian somehow executed. Twice.
Mission failed.
Host rage quits.

“Connection closed by host”

Back to matchmaking.

“No sessions found for preferred region”
“No sessions found for preferred region”
“Unable to connect to host”
“Connection closed by host”

Best part?
I specifically search for WEST EU servers.

Game be like:
“Closest match found: Vladivostok.”
Ping: 287

Next lobby:

1 guy from China

1 guy from Japan

2 Russians

me

Voice chat sounds like an intercepted Cold War transmission while somebody reload-cancels through a hostage situation. Tactical realism.

At this point the most realistic feature in Ready or Not is the crippling disappointment of online matchmaking.

10/10 PTSD simulator.

Hey u/Ghostly_Rich am at the point where I honestly don’t care about Infestations anymore. Who asked for this? Seriously. This isn’t some zombie-survival sandbox like State of Decay. Fallout 76 doesn’t need more half-baked side systems piled on top of each other while the actual core game keeps rotting underneath.

Every update feels like resources are being thrown at features nobody was demanding, while long-standing issues are still ignored. The Burning Springs storyline still feels unfinished and half-cooked, not even reminding about the skyline valley.... yet instead of polishing that or expanding meaningful content, we get another round of balancing tweaks for an activity that already felt out of place.

And for what? The rewards? This season’s rewards are boring as hell, and from what’s been shown, next season looks even worse. It’s getting harder to stay motivated when the progression loop feels so unrewarding. Meanwhile, the monetization in the Atom Shop keeps getting more aggressive, as if squeezing players matters more than giving them reasons to actually log in.

Even a bunch of well known FO76 mod creators (/keretus/dchoaxer/dtim) and longtime community contributors don’t seem interested in playing anymore. That should be setting off alarms. When the people who care enough to create around your game start walking away, something is deeply off.

And can we talk about the bugs? I’m tired of having to reapply my armor sets every single login. Bugs like that have been around far too long, and they directly affect everyday gameplay. Yet somehow the priority is Infestations.

At some point you have to ask what direction this game is even heading in. Because right now it feels scattered, disconnected, and increasingly out of touch with what players actually want. Stop layering gimmicks on top of unresolved problems. Finish unfinished content. Fix the bugs. Respect the time of the people still sticking around.
