Hey Guys,

I was just checking my application status online, it’s showing terminated.

Accepted -> In review -> Pending Collection -> Terminated.

I didn’t get any mail citing the rejection reason and I’m yet to get my passport. Has anybody gone through this recently ? I submitted my documents at Mumbai VFS office. Please let me know if anybody has gone through something similar recently and if you could apply again ? And if it was successful in second attempt ?

My Chinese Work Permit was recently approved, and while going through the doc, I noticed that the category is listed as Category A.

FYI - I’m an IT professional working for an MNC.

I’ve tried reading about it online, but I’ve come across different explanations. Some sources describe it as “high-end foreign talent,” while others say it’s based on a points system, qualifications, salary, or the employer’s application.

I’m curious about what it actually means in practice.

What determines whether someone gets Category A instead of Category B?

Does Category A offer any real advantages, or is it mostly an administrative classification?

Is it based primarily on the individual’s profile or the employer’s application?

If you’ve had a Category A work permit, did it make any noticeable difference during renewals or while living and working in China?

I’d appreciate any insights from people who have been through the process or are familiar with how the system works. Thanks!

For reference, Lancôme Idôle was way too strong for me and gave me a headache(was a blind buy)

Would love to hear recommendations from others who are also migraine-sensitive or prefer light, clean fragrances. Thanks!
