First Flight Since the Changes

I want to preface this with

  1. I've been a cardholder for a while because I appreciated the budget tickets and the overall positive quick and efficient experience I've had with SW over the last decade.

  2. I've been a defender of SW for years because I think it's been a better experience than American or United every time I've flown with them.

But boarding for this flight was delayed, the tickets were more expensive, and the seats were worse. I'm pretty tall and appreciate an aisle seat which usually worked out for me in the old system because I don't mind being toward the back of the plane. I got assigned a middle seat at check in and after check in was notified I could have selected a seat for no charge as a cardholder.

Such a bummer to see this carrier go the way of enshittification and act more like their industry peers. Not sure I see the benefit to them anymore.
