Dumbledore is always memed for giving a random dump of points to Gryffindor at the end of the season to give them victory in the house cup.
I think there is a lot more to this than just bias, and think it all comes down to Dumbledore trying to reverse the damage done due to (what was ultimately) Hagrids mistake in hatching Norbert and having the trio (and Neville) take her away at night.
This makes me think that Dumbledore either reversed the points decision due to how it might impact the trio later in life (trauma and risk of ostracisation from other Gryffindors that would impact their daring) or because Hagrid came clean that it was his fault the trio were out of bed, lost all those points, and were dealing with the consequences.
I don’t think Dumbledore would be too angry with Hagrid, and it would explain his decision at the end of term feast, using the philosophers stone as a convenient excuse.
