I am a 47-year-old woman who had increased hair due to hormone use.

This device is amazing. It works well for light skin and dark hair. It takes commitment, but once the first 3-4 weeks have passed, it’s more maintenance.

The instructions are a little wonky. Yes it tells you to use it every other day for the first three weeks. That is a bit much. I did every other day for the first week and then I did every three days after that for another two weeks. By then the hair had slowed dramatically and gone away completely in most areas.

It takes time. It takes about one hour to do both legs, bikini line, and under arms. I used the high setting on the bikini line and the SHR everywhere else. The cooling effect on this thing is awesome. As long as you don’t have long hair, you’re not gonna feel any burning (and even then it’s not that bad).

Use some sort of soothing oil for razor burn while using this product. Also, don’t follow the directions. Just shave as normal and wait one day and then do the zapping, it helps to have a tiny bit of hair showing.

Don’t wax just shave. It’s annoying I know, but this is the process.

Find a comfortable chair with ottoman, put on your headphones, and blast some music or your favorite podcast and get to work (always wear the glasses, you don’t want to go blind).

The work will pay off. I promise. But again this works best for light skin and darker hair. There will be stubborn hair. So keep at it, but it will eventually go. Maintenance use is once every 3-4 months now. And with time that will get even longer and the hair that does grow back certainly is finer.

So get zapping!
